New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

Thijsse,
Welcome...what a beautiful name! Kiss
So glad you were able to get great pictures of the Northern Lights, particularly something you can turn into a pattern. Please feel free to share pics of whatever you make...we love to drool! Wink
Do you usually get to see the Northern Lights in your location? We never have. Recently, we should have been able to see them, but the sky was overcast. Lol, we can usually predict the weather by when there will be something to see in the sky...Northern Lights, meteor showers...it will always be overcast or rainy. Laughing
Have a lovely day/night, and enjoy your stitching! Kiss

It has been a few years since you were working on the C2C being available, any ideas if you are getting closer?

Amy,

In addition to needing a better format, I can see where this image could be problematic, even in GIF form. The problem with the image itself is that inner line. The freePatternWizard will do its best with it, but since the outer line is thick and the inner line is thin, it's going to have trouble designating which stitch is for which line. There's not enough space and too much line, too close together.

There are alternatives. You could make the fleur-de-lis as a solid and then cross stitch over your single crochets to make the inner line. Another possibility would be to surface crochet with your color for that inner line. That would probably look the best! Smile You could also just do some simple experimenting...make a gauge swatch and see how it looks to surface crochet or cross stitch over your single crochets, to give you an idea of what would work best. Smile

Neave,

You mind reader, you!  Kiss

We talked about it, but he doesn't want that particular day, I guess because he likes the romance of the day with nothing additional.  Which isn't all bad, right?  Kiss

Whenever we do the wedding at our friend's house, that's probably the date we'll choose.  Just a guess, because whenever I discuss dates with him he waves me off or says he just doesn't like any dates I suggest...mr picky!  Undecided

The good thing is that the day we go to my friend's house, it can't interfere with holidays, because she's usually busy during most of them!

Welcome!  Smile

If I'm understanding what you're asking (and please correct me if I'm wrong), you'd like to know if we can have the freePatternWizard pick an image off of a Web site and make a pattern from it.  In order to make a pattern from an image, you do have to upload that image to the freePatternWizard from your computer.  Because of copyright restrictions, we can't have the program itself grab a logo or image online and make a pattern from it.
