Paddy's Cove3837 viewsThis was a kit called "Paddy's Cove" and I believe it's based on a greeting card. You can't tell, but there is some lovely blending filament in the middle of the water, which makes it sparkle very nicely.02/20/10 at 13:42wizdmzchyld: WOW!

The Earthdancer4798 viewsThis is my version of Marilyn Leavitt Imblum's incredible piece, the "Earthdancer." I took the suggestion on the pattern and used only one strand of the specialty thread for the dreamcatcher (the picture on the pattern showed it made with at least three strands, perhaps six). This is not quite finished...one thread from the dreamcatcher became loose, so it needs to be tightened and woven under again. The other thing I haven't finished is figuring out what color to make the two feathers under the dreamcatcher. Because I changed fabric colors (the designer's color choice was a beigy brown I didn't like because it somewhat obscured the dancing Native American woman), the feathers then blended into the fabric color. I tried outlining the feather on the right, but don't really like it, so will have to someday rip out the stitches and change the floss colors to something else. LOL, am I too picky? Probably!02/20/10 at 13:42wizdmzchyld: WOW!
