My First Word Chart (Chicago Bulls Graphghan10642 viewsI knew nothing about the name Word Charts when I did this for my grandson for Christmas in 2016. I used "I Love This Yarn" and I made a mistake and used HDC instead of SC! It is huge! I made two of them.
Over a year later I find out that Word Charts and Graphghan are the same so I made another attempt to do one. This time I used SC, as it should be.

Stuff bear pillow6455 viewsEveryone loves this furry "big" stuff bear! He also loves coffee, as you can see.

1st Stained Glass Cross Word Chart8136 viewsI used "I Love This Yarn" for this crocheted stained glass cross word chart. It was so much fun to do. I did two more. One using YarnBee (black fuzz tends to run through the white of the long cross part) and the other using Premier Everyday yarns. I did the last two in the colors listed in Revelations 21:18-21. (To the best of my ability.)

Rainbow Dolphin Word Chart6727 viewsI cannot believe I did this first (after the Bull's graphghan) as it was quite difficult with the many color changes! That is when I knew I had to find a better way to handle the tangled mess of bobbins.

Owl Pillows (Crocodile stitch)6857 viewsThis is one of the very first stitches I used after doing my first afghan. Once you get the hang of it, it's so awesome! I have used it in many different patterns.

|

Hobby Horses11586 viewsI started out with a pattern and soon added things to make it more realistic. Loved ding these. I even made a "horse of a different color" and a Green Bay Packer one. These are such fun to do and simple once you begin.

Crocheted Cape5367 viewsLoved doing this, but it was a lengthy one. Whether I will wear it, I don't know, but I probably will in the winter. It is warm!

Hooded Cat Blanket8250 viewsEveryone loves these hooded animals. I have made so many blankets like this in the form of an owl, wolf, fox, parrot, and cat. Can't remember the latest one, but I did purchase the pattern. Oh yes... it is a skunk! I made some for our pastor's kids so they use them during the winter to wrap up in. The pattern says to use double strands. Well, why do that when there is Bernat Blanket Yarn! I love that yarn! It works up quickly and you can use 3 - 4 skeins of the large skeins to make it. Depending on size of child.

|

Shaggy Dog Cat House9809 viewsI made this from a pattern that was not large enough for cats or a dog. I actually used two strands of Homestyle yarn and made it in the round and the sides much larger than the pattern. I then cut foam all the way around, and used foam on the top. I put foam on the bottom and made a round piece for the bottom to fit. I sewed (with yarn) through the foam on the sides (tucked inside) so it would hold together.

Hooded Parrot blanket5858 viewsthis is an adult blanket. I use it at the Farmer's Market in the late fall when it is cold. I did not have a pattern for it, but used the owl pattern and then created the eyes and nose by looking at pictures. Colors are perfect for the parrot! I used Bernat Blanket yarn.

Dog sweater and booties (Green Bay Packers)7379 viewsI was raised in WI and the Packers are my team! So, I made this for our late Westie, Cassie. she did not like the booties! It was too cumbersome, I guess. I used snap buttons to keep them on in the front and the back. Worked slick.

Dress Towel Topper7530 viewsFun to make! My niece thought it was a real dress. Love it!
