Starfish and sea grass

This is my second picture of three of sea life. I like the way it almost has a 3D effect. It took approximately 7 weeks to weave and it measures 4 3/8" x 11 3/4". Didn't quite fit the frame (4 x 10)
I was hoping to use but that's a small fix, hopefully :) All in all I am very pleased with the way it turned out. The last of the trio will be clown fish and anemone. I will be making it the same size as this one so I can group them together.

Well, I've finally completed my last sealife trio. I love the orange, it just pops. But I must say that I think I am partial to the starfish. What about you?
Now, it's time to work on something else . . . I wonder, should it be flowers? Who doesn't love them! Or maybe it should be a bird. I have a pair of mated orioles in our front tree and have taken lots of pictures. Or how about birds and flowers, I'm sure there are countless number of available pictures. Or maybe . . . ? What do you think might fun?

I took this picture in the late spring of last year in my front yard. I'm please with the results, and so is my mom. As a big surprise I'll be giving this to her for mother's day.
Now it's onto the next project . . . just need to channel the next subject that speaks to me.
Any ideas anyone? I'm coming up blank, but maybe it's only a matter of time.

Water Lilies - a threesome

I have finally complete my triptych of water lilies. Approximate size is 5 x 7".
Very happy with them and I so glad I got to show them to my mom before she passed away.
Flowers were one of her favourite things.

One of the more difficult pictures to make, a lot of beige, beige, and more beige. This is not my best picture taking, but for some reason it did not want to cooperate. I'll try again, maybe in a different season the light might be better. I'm really pleased with the results, it looks way better in real than the pictures show. I really like owls, I have a few more ideas for some more, the only problem is I need a space to put them before I can create them. Nothing worse that creating something really great and having no place to hang it and admire it and think of the memories where it all stems from.
