New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

I'm sorry to say we've never had the ability to set the number of rows. Originally we decided to not allow that, as we were worried people would skew or truncate their patterns. We've since rethought that and will offer a version in the future that allows designating the number of rows, but at this time it isn't available.

Ok, I'll take a look and see if I can't add an option to adjust the grid colors.

I'll post again when it's in the program.  Hopefully in the next few weeks.

I might be able to add a temporary shortcut sooner.  I'll take a look.

Terry

Hi! I'm so hoping someone can help me find this pattern. I've checked every site and tried contacting her with no response. Please let me know! Thank you!!

Hi Terry,

When I told you that the test images you sent worked except for picking up the pupil, I was wrong in that assumption.  Today I decided to take a closer look of the word chart and there are still errant colors being picked up, though now in different places.  It starts later in the design than previously but they are still there...

I'm going to redesign this image & not change sizes at all.  Its going to be a bit difficult working on such a small canvas so I'm going to test both the small canvas area & then a large canvas area then work them thru the program & see what happens.

So sorry that I wasn't thorough enough...but the charts I created looked quite different in the beginning than before & I just assumed...& we all know assuming usually bites us back...

Kathy

Update:  I just finished the redesign & conversion...sent you an email with the results.  I simply cannot get this image any smaller for the original design.  It is far too hard for me to work with that small a canvas & I did try another option I have but that turned out totally unsuitable though easier to work with.  So it looks like what I've been using for designing is what I'm stuck with...

Sherry,

Thank you for all of that useful info!  Kiss

Tension is such a personal thing.  From bitter experience I know not to take someone else's figures and consider them valid for my own work.  It's the best way to have to take a perfectly good project and either frog it completely or give it away to someone else.  Which is fine if it's meant as a gift, but if not, it can be completely heartbreaking.

Love your tip about working your swatches large!  There's nothing wrong with working very large...the worst you can possibly do when swatching is to work too small and get a very inaccurate result...and then having to completely frog or give something away.
