New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Lynn,
Welcome! I'm wondering if you're selecting either brick or peyote stitch. If so, could you once try any other bead stitch to see if the color issue is still there. There are a couple remaining issues that show up at times. The one relating to brick and peyote bead stitches usually doesn't affect color selection. The other relates to when your original image does not include black or white.
If you would be so kind as to try your same image once with either loom, square, raw, or herringbone, this will tell me which issue is causing it. If it works with one of these other stitches but just not brick or peyote, I can have you try a different version of the software that's not open to the public quite yet.
If the problem is not related to brick or peyote, I have a fix I'll be implementing in the next few days that will eliminate the intermittent black and white issue.
Thanks!
Terry
Good morning or good evening everyone, depending on where you live. =)
I have a question about row and columns with beading patterns. How many columns is 6 inches? How many columns are the standard 80 in the creating your own pattern program? How do I figure out how many columns I need and rows I need if I am dealing in inches? Thanks! Have a great day nad/or evening!

newbie here,
i am wondering if there is a way i can add a black border around the subject of my cross stitch patter by using your program. Or do i need to do that on my .jpg and then upload it? Any advice is welcome. Thanks for all you do here on stitchboard. Love this site!

Kristy,
Welcome! So glad you found us!
From one geek to another, love that! Geekery is where the fun stuff is,
IMO. And Harry Potter themed pieces, wow, fascinating!
Though I personally can't admit to being old because
even though I've been stitching for over 30 years , I'm not a day over 25. I swear!
Matter of fact, this year I'll turn...25.
What genre
do you write? I mostly write fiction, though am not (yet)
published.
Thrilled to have you
here!
