New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Hello!
I'm having a hard time with the instructions on the pattern wizard. Is it a one to one ratio of boxes to stitches? That almost seems too simple haha. I tried to look, but are there any tips and tricks threads yet on this forum for following a Pattern Wizard pattern?
Thanks!
Edit: crochting if that makes a difference
The new colors are 1-35 they were added in 2018

Molly,
Those are such excellent
ideas!
Our apologies -
we don't yet have that amount of flexibility within the program.
While our private label does have a "notes" section, it's likely
too limited to contain everything you want.
We've been discussing your ideas and find they're all
things we'd eventually like to implement. We're only sorry we don't have the
ability to work on them immediately. (Our first priority is basic
functionality issues.)
I wish I could give
you a time frame, but at this point it would be too soon and I'd
only be guessing (and that could be incorrect). All I can say is
please stick with us and hopefully we'll be able to do something
sooner, rather than later.
And thank you so
much for giving us more to think about! We have a pretty long
laundry list of things we want to accomplish, but we're always
looking for new things to add to it!
Ann,
Welcome!
If you're going
to stitch it turned 90 degrees, yes, your stitches will no longer
be the horizontal ones the program has plotted for you. You can
remedy that by turning your image 90 degrees and choosing
horizontal, where both will be in sync.
The
problem is that if you simply change the stitching to vertical when
making your pattern, I'm not sure if it would be enough to
compensate. You could try a swatch that way, to see if it keeps
true to the pattern. If it does, great! If not, turning your image
90 degrees would be your best bet.
Whiffle,
Welcome!
Thank you for
your suggestion!
We've never provided this
capability, as we've never had such a request before, but we can
make that feature available. I can't give you a specific time
frame, but we can include it in a future update.
