New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Brandie,
Welcome!
Currently, our program is strictly for working from images, not for making patterns from scratch. We do have a new version in development which will let you make patterns with individual stitches, but since it's still in development, it's not available for use on the site just yet.
I've looked and looked for something that helps with creating the old way (I owned a program like it many years ago), but unless you want to pay for a program, those seem to have gone the way of the dodo, sadly!
Melanie,
Editing the first message on this string was wonderful, thanks!
Regarding the string out on the web, I guess if someone comes across it, maybe it will bring more people to the stitchboard site, but can you at least delete everything from Message #7 to the end. That way you still have the pictures and related conversation, but nothing else.
And please before you put anything of mine out there in the future, let's discuss, and edit.
Thanks,
Janice

Thijsse,
Welcome...what a
beautiful name!
So glad you were
able to get great pictures of the Northern Lights, particularly
something you can turn into a pattern. Please feel free to share
pics of whatever you make...we love to drool!
Do you usually
get to see the Northern Lights in your location? We never have.
Recently, we should have been able to see them, but the sky was
overcast. Lol, we can usually predict the weather by when there
will be something to see in the sky...Northern Lights, meteor
showers...it will always be overcast or rainy.
Have a
lovely day/night, and enjoy your stitching!
Thanks!
Perlandra,
Tunisian is a very
different technique...and a lot of fun! It's especially lovely for cross
stitching on it, so then you don't have to worry about switching
colors in the middle of a row and having a lot of awkward bobbins.
