New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Silvertiger,
Can you please give a link to where this project is located? I'm not sure of the particulars of this one. I'll see what I can do, whether or not I can understand the chart, once I know which one it is.
Is it a chart that was created with the freePatternWizard and the colors are indistinguishable, e.g., too many shades of, say, blue for the human eye to discern?
Thanks!
Hi I like to know if I can get the upgrade please and thanks
Melanie,
I don't get tired of cooking as much as I get tired of trying to figure out what to cook.
The family isn't much help, "I don't know" isn't a dish I know how to make.
I feel for you with the dry, chapped hands. Mine can get pretty bad in winter too, and it isn't near as brutal here.
Astrid,
What beautiful gifts. Love the loop shawls, and that scarf is wonderful.
Do your winters get brutal, with the single digit cold like the area where Melanie is?
I understand about trying to use the phone to upload pics, I'm learning to do it from a tablet. Melanie told me a trick for resizing and it works. I upload the pics to facebook and they are automatically resized, then I can just copy them here.
So glad to have found the boards to be able to talk to people. This graphing of patterns is about to make me pull my hair out. The boards online didn't want to help much if at all so I'm hoping to find helpful friends here.
Bright blues would work so well with that pattern! LOL, know exactly what you mean about wanting to use what you have on hand...I'm making a very orange bag...because I have orange left over!
Oooh, I think the variegated would be perfect for joining blocks together!
Simply Soft is a wonderful yarn...it has such nice sheen and great drape to it, as well.
You definitely have great control if you try not to buy more yarn! I really should try to use up more...but then I see a new project and think, "Wouldn't that be great made with this?"
Thanks for the links to both shawls...I can't decide which one I like more, as they're both beautiful! And thank you for the hint about using a larger hook than recommended on the first pattern. It seems patterns are all over the place with hook sizes these days...too large, too small, no happy medium.
Only 1/5 of the way done on your gifts? Oh, no! I've tried in previous years to make all gifts, but it's too ambitious...finally had to give up. Please do keep us informed of your progress...we'll root for you to finish...rah rah, you can do it!
