I have to say, that's a SPECTACULAR idea! It's a nice frugal way not to need quite as much yarn. And Marilyn, I completely agree! Smile

My thanks to both of you. In many cases I'm combining leftover lengths of yarn to use them up which is where the color combinations come from.

FYI, I discovered (while making another hat with the left over black) that this particular skein didn't want to felt properly, which is why it turned out the way it did. I used the left over black to make a hat band on another hat and had to run it through the washer twice before it would behave.
Just thought enquiring minds would want to know. Wink
