You're very welcome! Hey, I like that spiral, too! I may try one of those alternatives myself when I have some boring stockinette to do!
Hugs,

How about trying a twisted stitch to accomplish the same effect? Or a purl stitch that spirals? I know it wouldn't keep you from having to frog the first sleeve and redo it in plain stockinette...but if you try one of those options for something later, it would give you a chance to use the same lovely effect for another project.

Argh, I'm sorry you weren't able to figure it out.

You're very welcome...I love to help when I can!
I've mistakenly twisted stitches by ripping back, mostly. The stitches landed on the needle the wrong way...luckily, I've always found they were reversed before it was too late and reversed them back. Is there something you're doing differently that could be twisting ONLY the first stitch of each round?

Thanks for sending the photos!
How about trying a small sample? Even on a flat piece, you can purposely twist stitches, one per row in a diagonal pattern, and see if the result is the same.

FRUSTRATING!
Another thought...could those stitches be TWISTED? Since the photos are resized, they may very well be twisted, but I can't see them well enough to tell.
Hope SOMEONE can figure it out!

Thanks for posting these! Just a thought...it almost looks to me like these particular stitches are tighter, but otherwise look like normal knit stitches. Is there something you did that perhaps pulled the first (or last) stitch of each round tighter than the rest? I say that because I see a bit of puckering in those stitches. When you look very closely at the stitches in question, do you see any difference between them, or just the puckering?
