haha yeah our dogs do strectch out and try and have as much of the bed as possible and i don't sleep on my side of the bed i sleep laid on nicky between his legs with my back on his stomach and chest on his shoulder i can't sleep on my side of the bed i never have so the dogs have that lol

LOL!  Muffin often sleeps on our bed, at the foot of it most of the time.  But there have been times when she's snuggled up right between us.  <3  And she snores!  Haha, it's so funny...one night she was snoring away loudly between us, woke both of us up, then she changed position, which made her wake up and stop snoring.  My husband said, "Thank you!" 
Do your dogs like to stretch out and take up as much of the bed space as possible?  Muffin often does it...especially when I get into bed later and then she's in my exact spot, all stretched out.  So cute...I try to get into bed without disturbing her, but most of the time she gets up...though not always!
If she's not there already when I get into bed, she crawls on me for some love and grooming.  <3  She's so happy, she starts purring away, though it's a fine line between purring and "too much," which is when she's done with that and jumps down off of the bed.  Sometimes she gets so close with her face, I can kiss her adorable chin.  <3  And that side is far better than the back one!

Glad the kids stopped bullying Cal, though I'm sorry you were also bullied.    It seems as if these days, it's taken more seriously...guessing that when you were young, your experiences were similar to mine...people would shrug it off as if it was nothing.   Such ignorance.
