Oh, NO! Do you have halfway decent notes, where mirroring the pattern for the right side is going to be a little less painful?
I think changing to stockinette for that armhole area would perhaps alleviate a lot of stress for you...and stockinette ALWAYS looks very nice, too, IMO.

AND BOY do I need to be forgiven on this one. Not only did I just pick this up and start knitting without a pattern, I realized last night while I was frogging (again) the left front, I have to figure out how to mirror this for the right side. Sheesh!
Right now I'm struggling with keeping the pattern going up the front to the shoulder. Once I cast off the stitches for the armhole, I don't have quite the number of stitches to keep the pattern so have to begin each row by figuring out what the sequence needs to be so it looks right.
I'm pondering the idea of just changing to stockinette for those rows and taking the pattern repeat down to two. I'll soldier on for a bit longer and see if I can make it work.

Charlene,
A live model never hurts, for sure! And the nice thing is that knitting IS somewhat forgiving.

Marilyn,
Kitty photos are just too irresistible, aren't they? I was looking at some kitty stock photos earlier and it was like eating potato chips...one wasn't enough!
Charlene,
I'm glad that despite the loss of the tape measure, you have SOMETHING to go by! Can you work things out as "women's medium" until you get the necessary measurements?

Apparently Sis lost her tape measure, so am having to wait a bit for proper measurements. However, she says Kat's is now a woman's medium, with pretentions to taking after her mother and becoming Rubinesque. So I will build the sweater accordingly.

Indeed they are. Mikey has taken to settling himself at the end of my bed once I'm asleep. He twice bit at me and once scratched my ankle last night when my foot got to close. He and I will be having a discussion about the matter later one. Right now he's perched up on my pillows snoozing.
