I'm not sure what you mean by an inset crochet pattern, but no, mosaic isn't a technique our software will handle and nothing can be done once a pattern is made to turn it into something else, beyond starting again with your original and making different choices.

If, when you mention an inset crochet pattern, you mean a graph, my suggestion would be to start from your original image and choose a graph instead of or in addition to a word chart.

As for mosaic, part of the reason we haven't addressed it is there's no particular definition of mosaic. I've seen a few different definitions of mosaic, but nothing and nobody seems to agree on what this technique is.
