Shaded Areas
March 22, 2020 at 9:02:57 PM
Whenever I buy a pattern that is bigger than one page, there is usually a shaded few rows of overlap, which I find very helpful to smooth the transition from page to page, and so I do not make mistakes. On the freePatternWizard, there are just some weird gray rows that do not have the overlapping symbols. Is there a shaded area on the program that I completely missed? If not, what are those grey squares for? I think that for a software that makes such big patterns, the shaded areas would be nice to have, two or three rows.

Secoya,
I'm sorry to say it's been so long, I can't recall why the gray areas are there, but you're correct, they're not overlaps. We had originally discussed putting in overlaps; however, for some reason that didn't make it into the finished version of the freePatternWizard, and I'm not entirely sure why!
What I can do is request that we add an overlap at a later date. I'm not sure exactly when that will happen, though, as we've already got our programmer chained to his desk (no worries, we occasionally throw some food his way
). Seriously, we have a list of over 100 features we want to add to the freePatternWizard, so with that many changes it will take some time. I'm very sorry I don't have a better answer for you.

That is OK, thank you. Whenever you can get to it is fine. I just thought that it would be a good idea.
