Hi,

I've never heard of this happening so I'm obviously interested knowing more.

Could you please tell me how many colors is it choosing for the pattern?

If you're creating a .pdf pattern, would you be willing to email a copy of it so I can look at it?  If so, I can send you an email to which you can reply with the .pdf.  Or you could do a screen capture and post it here in the community.

If you're doing Peyote stitch by chance I may also be able to have you try a newer version.  There were some issues with Peyote.

Hi again, Cristy.

Sorry for the delay.  I just finished creating a pattern for an upcoming project that an artist is working on.

I think the best thing would be if you send me a copy of your image.  That way I can run it and see if it does the same for me.  If there is a problem and I can duplicate it, I can fix it.

I'll send you an email.  You can reply to it and attach your image.

Please also tell me your beading type (peyote, brick, etc.) and whether you choose your own colors or let it choose.

So watch for an email sometime a bit later today (Tuesday).

Wow!  The current symbol set has been in use since 8-13-2015 and nobody's ever brought this to my attention before.

There are actually two "£" symbols in the symbol library.

This will only show up when someone has more than 116 colors in their pattern.

I'll be updating the symbol set tomorrow (Sunday) and the problem should go away.

An upcoming version will also allow custom symbols (you can create your own) and also allow you to choose your preferred ones from the existing library.  I'll talk more about that when it's closer to being implemented.

I'll post another message after updating the symbol set.

In looking at the actual symbol set in my font editor I see the two "£" symbols are slightly different but by the time they show in a .pdf, they look way too similar.

I'll change one and probably update a couple others.

I'll let you know when the updated symbol set is complete.

I just uploaded the new symbol set which fixes the problem.

At the same time I swapped two other symbols because I felt one could be a bit confusing.

So try again and you should no longer get a duplicate symbol!

Thanks so much for reporting the problem!  We can't quite catch all the problems and bugs but I'm happy to fix things when they're reported.

Lots more updates and features still to come.
