graphghan throw

Hello,

I would like to make a graphghan throw that is 60" x 50"  4 stitches is approximately 1 inch and 2 rows is approximately 1 inch. i tried to enter 240 stitches across, but the max is 150 stitches.  How can I make a throw this size?

I appreciate any suggestions.

EBidd,

Welcome!  Smile

It's excellent how you did a gauge swatch before you started...kudos!  Gauge swatches are so important!

We allow a maximum of 150 stitches across for our members, though there are nominally priced options to give you more stitches across, either 300 or 500, depending on your needs.  We call these Premier features.  At this time 300 stitches across has a low introductory price of $2.99 for a full year and 500 stitches across has a low introductory price of $4.99 for a full year.  (You don't have to sign up for both if you're interested in 500 stitches, as 300 is included in the 500.)

You can subscribe to Premier features here:
/pages/pattern/subscribe.php

As for pattern length, at this time the freePatternWizard doesn't allow you to set the length of a pattern.  This is a feature we currently have in development.  Originally we didn't allow it because we were worried people would try to make patterns that were terribly out of proportion by giving the length either a too short or too long dimension, where their patterns would either have been too wide or too elongated.

Since we don't know exactly when this feature will be available (we do as much testing as possible before making a feature live), if the length isn't what you want, at this time my best suggestion would be to add borders to your original image so you can get the length you want.  If you don't have a graphics program and are using Windows, I can suggest two very powerful - and free! - programs that are available for download.  Smile  I can't tell you how to use them (because I use a graphics program from, gulp, 1998 Embarassed), but they're very popular and are reputed to be excellent (and great for the price!).
