Welcome!    So glad you found us!

Please excuse me if I'm misunderstanding...the first thought that comes to mind is how large of an image you're trying to use.  Even if it's as small as 100 x 100, your image will turn into blobs if you try to size it down as small as 15 x 15 blocks, using one square of color as a full block.  If I've misunderstood and you're talking about each block being 15 x 15 cm, that's dependent on your gauge; the fiber you're using and the size crochet hook will give you your exact stitch by row measurements if you make a gauge swatch.

As for filet crochet, that feature is coming, but as yet we have no set date for when it will be available.

If you do want to size something down to 15 x 15 blocks, your image would have to be very, very small and simple to start with.  If you look around at filet crochet patterns, unless they're very large, they're usually pretty simple.  Even larger filet pieces are generally made in one color, with blocks of stitches or no stitches at all, unlike graphghans, which are individual stitches.

It's not impossible to do what I think you want to do, but my guess is the image you're working from would have to be greatly simplified and converted to only one color (e.g., technically two colors, for the squares with stitches and the squares without).

You're welcome.    If there's not a lot of detail, it may work as just outlines, then, depending on how large your original images are.
