How to create my pattern from left to right instead of bottom to top
September 30, 2020 at 7:27:46 PM
Sorry if this has been answered before, but a newbie to the site here. I have created a few patterns but how can i make my graph and pattern run side to side and not bottom to top?

Karla,
Welcome!
Technically, if you were to send your image in flipped 90 degrees, I would
think
this would do the trick. In theory, you would have your stitches starting at the left or right side, depending on which way you flipped the image, and then you'd be working in rows to the other side. Thus, instead of working bottom to top, then left to right and right to left, you'd be working side to side, bottom to top and top to bottom. Also, in theory, the stitches would be facing the correct way, where the "horizontal" stitches are actually going left side to right side or right side to left side.
(This is also assuming you're working in crochet, making a word pattern and not a graph.)

Karla,
Excellent! Please let us know how it turns out! I'm not 100% positive, but the mockup I did on paper looks like just flipping the image 90 degrees will do the trick.
