I am trying to download a pattern I created. When I click "download my pattern" it takes me back to the site home screen.
Please help.

Hi, Sara.
I've just completed some final security-related updates and am now back to working with anyone that's having a .pdf chart creation issue in the new secure configuration. There were some issues relating to trying to download charts from a secure connection (https: vs http:). I have fixed some but probably not all yet. This is just an unfortunate byproduct of making the site safer to use.
I'll look into your problem to see if it's related.
Please let me know:
What device are you using to access the program (i.e. Android mobile device, iPhone, iPad, desktop, etc.)
What operating system is on the device (Android, IOS, Windows)? (If Windows, what version?)
Also, please let me know what browser you're using (i.e. Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc.)
Are you saying you've highlighted "Download Pattern" in section 7, clicked on "Let's see my pattern" in section 9, and nothing happens?
The more information you can give me, the faster I can get you up and running.

Hi Terry,
I am using my desktop windows 8 i think.
I use Chrome.
I am selecting the Pattern on screen, which I have used before with no issues. Once I select Pattern on Screen there is no download box to check. I have always viewed the pattern and downloaded it from the pattern screen. But right now it just directs me back to the site home screen.
I hope this gives you more of what you are looking for to fix this little hiccup.

Ok. Gotcha. I just quickly tried the download button and get the same thing so I'll be able to fix it. I'll look into this in a bit and will get back to you.

Sara,
Wow. It looks like this hasn't been working since at least February or March!
The problem actually had nothing to do with anything I've been working on so I must have inadvertently changed it sometime in the past.
Anyway, I just fixed it and at the same time added a feature where the downloaded .gif pattern has the same base file name as the original one uploaded.
When you save it, you can also name it something else.
So if you upload a photo called "kitten.jpg", the saved pattern will be "kitten.gif" (since all patterns are created as a .gif to maximize the quality). If you upload a .gif image (like "kitten.gif"), it will add the prefix "pattern-" to the file name so you won't accidently write over your original image. So in this example, the pattern file name would be "pattern-kitten.gif".
So try it again and let me know.
