Hi Y'all

My name is Nonnie .. well, my name is Dee, but my grandkids call me Nonnie. We had grandmas from every direction so I decided to be different. I am a native Texan. Lived here until I was nine, moved to Leadville, Colorado, then Akron, Colorado, then Denver, Colorado. Met husband there.. We have been married almost 46 years! We have four sons, four daughters-in-law, four granddaughters and two grandsons. Life is great! Moved back to Teas in 1980.
I began crocheting when i was about 12 oe 13. When we moved to Texas, I stopped ... iit was too hot and there was no one I knew to crohet for. I began again last year when my second son, his wife and my two granddaughters moved to Arkansas. I also have two grandkids in Oklahoma. They all love hats, scarfs, mittens, etc. My other two grandkids live in Florida ... no need there !
I make hats and sometimes, booties, for the newborns at a nearby hospital. They have a NICU as well as full term baby nursery. I also make hats for chemo patients there, and lapghans for them when I can. I have recently made a full wardrobe for my 8 year old granddaughters' American Girl Doll. She loved it. So I made another wardrobe for my great niece! She also loved it. I look forward to "meeting" all of you!
Look at that smile! (Photo guaranteed unretouched)

Welcome, Nonnie - Dee!
Wow, sounds like you have a lot to keep your fingers busy!
I love crocheting things for American Girl Dolls! I don't have a real American Girl, but I have a few of the knockoffs.
Hoping to develop patterns for AG clothing at some point!
Do you design?
I hear you about not wanting to crochet when it's too hot. I suffer from terrible hot flashes, and the idea of holding yarn while sweating up a storm is no fun.
Air conditioning sure is helpful for hot days, though (but not hot flashes, sigh)!
We'd love to see anything you've made, if you'd like to post pictures! (We enjoy drooling!)
Welcome again, and great to get to know you!

I'm a beading, knitting and crochet addict. If that means I'm admitting I have a problem, then I admit to nothing. Please refrain from helping me.

Howdy, Nonnie (Dee) and welcome.
It does get a bit too warm here for making larger items, doesn't it?
I don't have any little girls to crochet for, but would love to see pics anyway.
