Well, I finished a sweater for my Papa.  He's a big man and I made certain the sleeves are long enough.  He said it "feels like a blanket", which is a good thing.  Made of "I Love This Yarn", made on the Brother 260, it's black per his request.  It's a success!

Still working on the baby sweater of Bernat baby yarn.  Finished it, only to find that the button band and the button hole band are not *quite* the same.  Button hole band looks bigger.  So, back to the drawing board on that one.  The button band appears to be a tighter knit than the button hole band.  I knit the bands separately but attached them to the sweater as I knit.  Am wondering if I should do those by hand.  We'll see when I reknit the button band.  If necessary, I'll get out two needles.

Toodles

OOpps, I forgot to mention, the baby sweater was made on the LK 150.  Pictures to follow.

Charlene,

Congrats on the sweater for your Dad...sounds like it's a hit!  Smiley

Sorry to hear the button band/button hole band aren't matching up on the baby sweater.  Did you knit with a tighter tension on the one, perhaps?  That's an ingenious idea, to attach as you knit, though it must be hard with such a small item!  If you do end up having to hand-knit, are you still going to attach as you knit?

Either with 2 needles or several on the knitting bed I'll so a sew as I go since it would look too much different to attach a separate piece I think.

Charlene,

Yes, I see what you mean!  I have a heck of a time keeping things straight when I sew pieces on later...particularly with two pieces to match up perfectly on each side!
