alwaysalice here ........I am Alice Ann when back in my hometown...Alice everywhere else.....born and raised in the big city of Stephenville Texas.  My parents worked at a dress factory when I was born so was named after the label manufactured there.  In my 'cake' years I was married and followed him around from California, Utah and all over Texas then further onto Indonesia and Australia.....later settling back in Texas.....along the way I raise two wonderful young men......now in the "icing" part of my life I am married to a retired Army Man and now living next door to Ft Hood in Copperas Cove, Texas...he came complete with 3 adult children and a couple of DILs....along the way I have gathered 10 Grands....7 boys, 2 gals, and 1 Angel......now my oldest and wife are fostering Twins!! which they hope to adopt so that would make the count 13.... the Twins are one each boy and gal.....and the DIL is pregnant with another little boy...........OH......I almost forgot!!!......there are TWO Great Grand-daughters coming as well.....one within the month and the other early Spring of next year.......all this at 56.......I think I am tried... :-...

My passion as of late it knitting......well....look at all those babies!!.......I have knitted on and off since Jr High when a kind little lady offered to teach me and a few friends......my first project??? Long sleeved turtle neck cabled sweater.......well.......I didn't know any better..  But this just made me courageous when it comes to patterns ........I also sew......after being named after the label....it came natural. I remember playing under the cutting tables at the factory with scraps!!  I have done counted cross-stitch (was perfect when moving around so much earlier in life....a Great Aunt tried to teach me to tat....I made knots......have used a crochet hook a time or two.....painted......woodwork......well.......I have tired just about anything that came my way.

Am looking forward to trying out this new board........and making new friends along the way.....
