Greetings from my lost corner of the web
December 30, 2019 at 4:51:03 PM

Hello,
My name is Jessica and I am very new to knitting, but have been a member for the last couple of years. :-)

I am curious as to weather there are still users here, as it seems the last posts were more than a year ago.

I admit, I was afraid that I had finally come back only to find the world gone around me. :-)

Sorry, on a D&D quote kick currently.  It is noce to be here and hopefully I will be able to share the project that I have finished, once I have finished it. Cool

Jessica,
LOL, nah, you can't keep crafters under wraps! Wink
Can't wait to see what you're making when it's done! Kiss What is it that you're currently working on?
I have a lot of WIPs...the good news is I'll have to live to be well over 500 to accomplish all of them. Wink I am a miracle of science waiting to happen! Laughing

I started just knitting something small that my partner helped me to get started.  I suspect that it will end up being a scarf.  It is about 14" wide, and I will figure out how long, after I run out of wool. Foot in MouthLaughing

Jessica,
That sounds like a nice warm scarf! Kiss
If you feel it's not long enough by the time you run out, you could buy another skein, perhaps of a contrasting color. And there's no such thing as a scarf that's too long! Wink

That is, unsurprisingly exactly what other people have told me. Surprised  So, when I hit the point of running out of wool, I already know what my next one is going to be.

Maybe it will end up being the same length as the old Doctor Who scarf.  Foot in Mouth

LOL, that's what I was thinking when I said a scarf can never be too long...Doctor Who! Laughing That scarf looks like so much fun. And as much as authentic is nice, I think it would be more fun in one's choice of colors. The Doctor Who scarf is one of a kind...why not make another one of a kind, rather than trying to duplicate? Kiss
Your scarf is going to be awesome! Kiss

Jessica,
If you're on a regular browser, on the top line of the editor above there's what looks like a picture of a tree. If you click on that, it will allow you to access your hard drive and add the image. Smile

Yeah, I did that.  I keep getting an error "There was an error processing that image. Try again. (Error:3)"

I really want to show off what I am doing, but it won't let me.

Jessica,
That error is in the community software, so if you wouldn't mind giving us info about what kind of device you're using, image format, etc, that would really help!
Also, I'll send you an email, so please be on the lookout for it. If you can reply and send the image we can do some testing with it and find out what's causing the problem. If you don't see the email, which I'll send momentarily, please check your spam folder.
Sorry this is happening! Ugh, computers, what a pain! Frown
