Greetings Earthlings
November 3, 2016 at 8:23:02 PM
Greetings!!
I am from London, Ontario and share my home with 3 cats, 1 dog and a very understanding fiance. He could even be considered an enabler as he usually offers to go yarn shopping with me. (At least I don't have to sneak purchases in!)
I knit and crochet and for the past couple of years have worked towards giving gifts that are primarly hand-made. I have been working on this Christmas' presents since January and am full steam ahead... and like every other year, am pretty convinced that my gifts won't totally suck. bwahahahaha.
I decided to try out the site because I figured, "it's been around for forever so it has to be good"
I look forward to getting to know people, seeing and sharing our works!

If you're not on a mobile device, you can do that right here!
If you're on a PC or a Mac, there are three lines above your message reply window, and on the top is a small tree icon. That's the "add image" button, which you can use to upload your image(s) from your computer.

Woolly Sheep Hat by Sylvia Leake MODIFIED: Woolly Sheep Hat that has Cats Instead of Sheep Hat and two that are "woolly sheep hat by Sylvia Leake",
Central Park Carousel by Michele DuNaier in blues and in browns..
Snood, my own pattern in Loops & Threads "Shelby"
"Whim" shawl by Laura Aylor, modified to incorporate "
"Cathedral Edging" by Leonie Morgan", used Bernat Super Value Stripes in "Wildberry"
Those are just a few of the things I've worked up in the last month. Most are gifts, the "Whim" shawl is a gift... for me

Gorgeous work...thank you so much for posting!
Your shawl is amazing! Love what you did with the edging. It really pops! And of course the cat hat is absolutely delightful...not that I'm a cat fan or anything.
What a great idea to use an existing pattern and stitch a cat motif instead!
After making so many beautiful things, you definitely need a gift for yourself. It seems a lot of stitchers forget and only make gifts, then realize too late they never made anything for themselves (can you tell that's happened more than once here, sigh?). Good for you...enjoy your lovely shawl!
