Hi everyone!  I am a beadaholic and proud of it.  Beading is my passion.  I spend LOTS of hours bead knitting antique purses.  I collect antique purse frames and give them new life.  Also passionate with peyote, and have done a few purses and necklaces using this method.  Love this website and the possibilities.  Lots of inspiration!

Hi and welcome!  Smile

I'm a fellow beadaholic, and I'll bet you, too, don't want any help with that whatsoever!  Wink

About how long does it take you to make a bead knitted purse?  I hope you'll post some pictures for us to all drool over!  Smile

I haven't tried bead knitting (yet!), though I've been doing peyote for a number of years.  I just learned bead crochet a few months ago, with knitting to follow soon!

Would love to hear more about what you're doing and see some of your work posted!  Kiss

And what a great avatar you have!  Kiss

I have LOTS of purses I've done in the past, most of which are my favorites Laughing
I wouldn't know which ones to post here.  But . . .  I DO have a website, which will show pretty much everything.  Yes, even those I've sold.

http://www.theperfectpurse4u.com

I also love the peyote stitch.  Then I felt the need to even try something different, so I purchased a Mirrix loom, which allows me to do tapestry weaving, as well as bead weaving.  So much to do . . . .  all good stuff.  I am outa control.

Some of my purses have taken upwards of 80 to 100 hours of work.  When I first started this, I would buy new purse frames.  I've now gone to collecting all antique purse frames, and that's all I use now.  What a difference.  It finishes the purse as it should, giving these old frames 'new life'.  Whoo Hoo.

Oooh, loving your galleries!  Kiss

Peyote stitch is one of my favorites...I love its versatility.

Wow, a Mirrix loom...definitely jealous!  Would like to see your creations made with it!

80 to 100 hours of work...it's all beautiful, and it shows how much you're dedicating to your art!  Kiss

The antique frames are lovely...you've done something that I think is incredibly difficult...you've taken something old and made it vibrant and new.  That takes real talent!  I've seen antique-y things made up before...but they don't have something fresh and new to them, like what you've done with your purse frames!  Kiss  You really do give them "new life"!  Kiss
