Hello from Az

Hello, my name is Shelly and I love to do bead work. I have been doing some kind of beed work for a number of years now but have just recently started doing it full time. I have been working with brick stitch, i love all the things i can do with it. I found this site while I was looking for a way to make my own patterns and try and be more creative. I hope to meet more beaders and get their ideas on things. I see that the last post was nov 2012...I hope you are all out there still reading....

Shelly,
Hi...we're still here!
So glad you stopped by and told us about yourself!
Brick stitch is a wonderful and versatile stitch. (My favorite is peyote, but brick stitch is a lot of fun, as well!) I take it you've found our Free Pattern Wizard?
We love the idea of people making their own patterns! Feel free to discuss whatever you're working on and if you'd like to share pics of your finished work, please note that I really enjoy drooling!
Are you more interested in designing flat patterns, large patterns, perhaps 3D/sculptural patterns? There are so many fantastic things that can be done with beads!

I love brick stitch, Peyote scarys me. Would love to learn how to read a pattern one day...lol, I work on flat. Started making Christmas earrings, tress lights, deers,santa...I started just for fun then when people saw them they came up with their own ideas for earrings, now I find my self working on alot of things. I would love to learn 3d.that would be fun. Yes I have found the free pattern making. I think your my life saver for puting it online..So many people ask me....can you do this or can you do that, well now because of your site i guess i can tell them,,,,yes i can. I found some patterns and magazines at a yard sale and have made some of the things in those books and I will see if I can try and post some for you to see. Thank you for writing back its nice to know someone is still out there

Shelly,
You're very welcome!
You've done so much...how impressive! Nah, don't worry about peyote...it really isn't scary at all. If you can master brick stitch, you can master peyote!
I'll be glad to help you with anything that you don't understand or that causes concern.
It's so nice to hear the Free Pattern Wizard has helped you!
How lucky, to find bead patterns and magazines at yard sales! Funny, I never find anything beading-related...I've found yarns, yes, but nothing with beads.
Though it is nice at times to buy costume jewelry at yard sales and then add beadwork to it.
Oh, yes, please do post some pics of what you've made! I'm here as long as I have a happy kitty (in other words, as long as I've done her bidding for the day).

Hello Shelly.
I found this place the same way you did. (My printer ran out of ink, so in a haste to design the perfect pattern, I searched the web... I happened upon several sites, and this one was by far the best of what I found out there, in my opinion.)
I adore brick stitch too, but I have to say - I adore peyote just as much.
I wish you much success in your craft.

Howdy Neighbor,
I get over to Tucson on occassion. I received BeadTool 4 as a christmas gift. The Tech susport is quick to respond. One of the nicest gifts for a beader.
I want to try out the design wizard here, as they all seem to have their limitations. (none of them do dishes.

Hope to see your finished creations.
Gyspy Mary,
