Hello from Maryland

Hey all. I'm not new to beading, but I've been away from it for a while. Stopped beading when I went into the military and then I was unable to get back into it after the military as I went homeless. Recently I find myself stable in a home finally and am homebound from multiple disabilities that have finally caught up to me over the years. I'm tired of surfing the web and sitting around doing nothing.
Surprised at all of the new tools to make the beading easier for some of the more detailed and heavier beading projects. Such as the loom work for beading. I'd love to get back into beading. I'm able to look over all of the neat seed bead projects I could do and even have made a few that I'd love to make and see in beads here through the site's pattern maker. Fixed income has made it a bit impossible to get back into beading. I figure when I finish a project, I can sell the projects and build up a beading income for making projects.
I was good at peyote stitch and Native American beading techniques. I want to get back into that as well. Other things I was good at was making knotted floss bookmarks and jewelry, as well as macrame.
Beyond all of that, I'm enjoying a renewed interest in doing anything outside of being online all the time. I'm just hopefull to get out of being in a funk about being homebound and get active again. Even if it is just at home doing something I used to love again.
I wouldn't be who I am without an imagination.
Look at that smile! (Photo guaranteed unretouched)

Raven,
Welcome!
I'm very glad you're settled now...your plan to get back into beading and sell some of your finished work is fantastic!
I believe anything you can do that you enjoy will be the best medicine of all. There's something soothing about creating an item, whether it's for sale or for your own personal use. I hope you can find enough fun things to do that will hold your interest!
Feel free to write in anytime if you need some help, or just emotional support and encouragement.
I can understand how you're feeling...we've all been there in some way and it can really suck!
But hang in there, because it also can get better.

I'm a beading, knitting and crochet addict. If that means I'm admitting I have a problem, then I admit to nothing. Please refrain from helping me.
