Purchasing Delica Beads
September 7, 2013 at 6:43:52 PM
I'm wondering if anyone has an inexpensive source for Delica beads? I usually order through Fire Mountain, but their beads have gotten so expensive lately it seems. The beading projects I have lined up have a number of colors...even when I reduce the number on the pattern maker. I'm also having problems with Fire Mountain not having all the colors I need.
Thank you!
Annie

Annie,
Wow, that's a
great
question! I haven't found an inexpensive source at all. I do know some people use seed beads instead of Delicas, since they're usually less expensive...but the drawback is they're not quite as uniform.
I personally haven't found a great alternative when I specifically must have Delicas, other than putting off the project and buying beads here and there, rather than all at once. Unfortunately, when mail ordering, that may mean a difference in shipping in the long run. And it's also
really
hard to find someone who stocks
every
color...which is certainly understandable, since there are
so
many, but it makes it difficult when you're trying to obtain certain ones.

I'll keep looking. If I find a source I'll be sure to share it here.

Thanks so much!
I'm sure many people would be happy to find a supplier of
all
Delica colors!

Try painterartbeads.com Joan has at least close to, if not all Delicas, reasonably priced, in small to large quantities.
