New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Thank you, thank you Melanie.
I am pretty day-um proud of this one.
Line,
Oh, yes, I know about those projectors, how cool! I would so do that!
I really like the lavender. It's calming and relaxing. LOL, I was worried I'd want to change it, but definitely don't!
Yeah, white, off-white, meh. Even very light gray can be boring.
ROFL! Yes, you got me...I want to have a brothel room in my home! It's my fondest dream. Red walls and red lamps, LOL!
Oh, wow, yes, the natural light would make all the difference in the world in a room painted dark colors! Then it would be stunning!
Such beautiful sweaters, and the dachshund one sounds adorable! Do you give them away when the kids outgrow them? Or do you take them apart and crochet them into something else?
Hugs,
Melanie
Debbie,
That makes sense...it's exactly what that woman did in the class. I guess you get used to doing things a certain way.
I'm inclined to agree...of course, if you've had to do it all along, you would do it that way without thinking twice!
Reminds me of a dentist I went to years ago. My husband also went to the same dentist, and they got into a discussion of how the dentist can reverse what he sees, since he's essentially seeing the opposite! So then the guy started getting a bit weirded out, because once you start to think about something you normally do without thinking, you get weirded out! I told him not to do that again...he's not allowed to mess up my dentist...LOL!
But I'm sure that's what working left-handed off of right-handed materials is.
I believe that you watching those videos is just like the way the dentist got used to seeing things backwards in the mirror. You just got used to it. Now if you look at left-handed videos, it's probably a bit strange! Whereas with right-handed videos, you know what you're doing.
Yes I am new to cross stitching. Need a lot of help. The name I have on here is my son CJ passed away almost two years ago and it's still hard on me so that's the reason to my name. I am disabled. I am a mom. I am home and by myself for the most of my days and nights. Have a lot of medical issues. I get frustrated not understanding all I need to know to stitch. My other issue is living in a small town where even Wal Mart don't carry supplies and so it's hard to come by supplies cheap enough for this disabled mom to afford. Ordering online gets expensive with shipping. So I can't buy a lot of supplies so that's frustrating. Wow and already again another year in 4 days I'll be another year younger LOL. Yeah I wish more like another 10 years older according to how I feel. Anyways I have no friends here where I live. Would love to make some online. Would love to talk to you so hope to hear from you soon.
Melanie,
I highly doubt that people will complain about it though, the CYC even has the younger designers relying on them now.
Perhaps the answer is just to use what I know, since I know this yarn should really be classified as a 2, the pattern should call for a 2.
I could work it up in a true sport weight, then decide which I like best and go from there.
