New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

I am so happy to have found this site! I started crocheting when I was 12 (taught by my grandmother who only knew single crochet). I have learned over the past 5 years there are so many other stitches out there! I love making stuffed animals (freehand since I can't read a pattern) and am learning to do different blankets (graphgans and reversible blankets). There is so much versitility! I found this site looking for a way to do a graph for a blanket and absolutely love the fact that there is somewhere to talk to people who love crochet as much as I do.
We've had some feedback requesting being able to enter more text in the "Notes" option of the Private Label Pdfs.
I had originally set the maximum notes length to 255 characters and just raised it at 350.
Let me know if you need more and I'll raise it again.

Neave,
Hee hee! I know the feeling...now, admit it...sometimes you feel like you're about to see a flying saucer land in your yard and carry them away to be with their own kind!
Neave,
I'm not surprised...it's soooooooo hard to work with customers...they want a gazillion different things, change their minds about every hour...blurgh!
Better to make cakes for you and your own now. LOL, though family can be demanding, as well!
Wow, your grandmother taught you all of that? Well, apparently she handed the gift down to you...lovely!
Nobody in my family would know what to do to decorate a cake. When I was a kid, I checked a cake book out of the library and my friend came over to help make it. I had no idea what I was doing. It turned out okay, but by the time we got around to eating it, it had sat out too long and was on the stale side. Soooooo disappointing!

Rose,
Welcome!
As yours is the
first and only request we've ever had for mosaic crochet, I'm sorry
to say we don't have instructions for this technique. I'm not sure
how popular it would be, as it's (in my opinion) kind of a
difficult technique to explain, not as simple as "change color from
color A to color B." It's very beautiful, though!
If we do get more requests for it, we'll be certain to
consider adding it in the future.
