I found some more colors that are incorrect. Delica Bead 279 actually looks like the pic of 297. 1004 is burgundy, not blue. 1756 is a violet purple, not a blue purple. I'm doing a pattern of an abstract painting, and these inconsistencies are making my finished project very different than the pattern pic. I'm getting ready to purchase more Delica beads for my next one and I want to get the colors right. This software is only good if it's an accurate representation of the colors. I found Fusion Beads Delica by number photos to be accurate for the color if that helps you check it out. I'd really appreciate help with this so I can order the best beads for the pattern. Thank you

We've discussed this issue...thank you for letting us know!

Terry will check and correct those three colors and is putting a priority on scanning through the entire palette to see if he sees any other colors that need to be corrected.

Can you let me know when the colors have been checked. I'm going to wait to order beads for my next pattern until then so I can redo my pattern, and hopefully the colors will be correct matches. Thank you, maybe email message here?

Hi.

I should have the colors you mentioned changed tonight.

It'll take me a few days (maybe less) to scan all the colors but I want to get this done asap.

I re-built the entire DMC embroidery floss library last year and it was a big project but fortunately it's a one-time thing.

Also, we always ask for input if someone finds new colors or colors that no longer exist.

I'll message again after updating the 4 colors you mentioned and then again after going through the entire list.

Ok, I just updated 4 colors. (One was DB0297 just to try to get it closer to the actual bead color.)

So the before and after colors are as follows:

I'm curious to know if these look better to you. I used Miyuki photographs. At some point I expect to have the computer match colors of actual beads but this will be a huge project. For now I'm just trying to correct any colors that are definitely "off" and get them closer to what they should be.

I'll post again once I go through the entire palette.

Thank you so much. Those do look better based on my memory. I don't have them all out at the moment. The best color reference I found so far was Fusion beads Delica by number. They have accurate pics to what my beads look like. I don't know if they have all the colors or not. I really appreciate this. My current project just doesn't look that much like my pattern. I may scrap it. I want to start another, but I'm trying to determine if the colors are good matches which is challenging when I don't have all Delica colors. That would make it easier! But pricey. So thank you. Let me know if I can help!

You are amazing people! I am in love with this site, and just joined will be premier soon!!! I want to help you test if you need it, and I am pretty sure miyuki has a link or plug in to use for pattern software, I emailed them last month to ask and they are supposed to contact me today. (I am sure you have fixed whatever issues mentioned however if you need that info I will gladly forward the message as I could not use it since I don't have personal software! I have a question about peyote stich patterns tho, (prob not the place to ask but i am just learning my way around here) can I make a pattern say 300 across and 600 down or 44 across and 46 down etc? I will definitely ask in the proper section once I find it. thank you so much for this website people like you make the world so much better!😀😁😀😁😀😁😀😁😉😉😉😉😉

FYI I am sherry Michael is my son who is planning to help create patterns for me, they will be his first with software but he draws them out often.

If you get any information, we'd be grateful if you'd pass it to us!

We don't always get info about color changes and such, so we greatly appreciate any info.

For now, we only allow you to set the width of a pattern. The reason this was originally done was because we didn't want people to skew or truncate their patterns by specifiying both dimensions!

That's why the software adjusts for the length depending on the width. But we'll eventually have a version out, which is now in development, to allow people to set both dimensions.

Feel free to get your son involved...hope he enjoys using the software!
