New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Line,
LOL, you're right, that's exactly what kindergarten teachers are doing. But my husband is still in his terrible twos, so he can't be considered a kindergarten teacher.
Wow, I had no idea! Kids are pretty advanced at early ages these days!
I agree...your game plan is nothing short of genius, simply following his inability to wear the hat when the weather gets warmer.
Oh, no! Hope you get a chance here and there for a nap, so you can feel refreshed!
Hugs,
Melanie
Happy New Year, Everyone!
Whoops! I just corrected a major problem with crochet word charts. I had corrected a similar problem in illusion knitting and just corrected it in crochet.
Before this change, you might have seen: blue (1), blue (2), blue (1), gray (10), ...
After this correction you'd see: blue (4), gray (10), ...
This only happened with patterns that did not have black and/or white.
Thanks Sherry for reporting the problem!
Now back to adding a new free function, new Premier function, and posting some little instructional videos. As I make updates and additions, I'm trying not to create any new problems.
Have fun!
Terry
Hello to all,
I have a question, i have a picture that i would like to create into a crochet patter but i want to simplify it. I would like to add another picture to it as well. I am having trouble doing that, if there is anyone that could help me, thanks in advance.

Secoya,
They're all gorgeous!
But I'm a big fan of purple, so this
one looks especially nice to me. And what is that...hmm...getting
hungry...I want purple cupcakes!
Patricia,
Welcome!
I'm sorry to
say the freePatternWizard can't take a finished pattern and turn it
into a chart. All the program can do is make
patterns in word or graph form from original images. I've done some
searches, but have never found anything that takes word charts and
converts them. All of the matches are for programs that will turn
an original image into a chart or word pattern, or tutorials on how
to create your own word pattern.
I'm so
sorry you're having problems with those word charts. Perhaps you
could contact the original designer(s) and ask if there are graphs
available instead of word charts?
