New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Thanks so much for your response! (and this site!!)
We had several requests to include a link within the freePatternWizard page to allow those who use the Private Label Pdf option to access the information entry/change page.
I just added a link at the bottom of the Private Label box in the freePatternWizard page. Keep in mind that taking the link at the bottom of this box will take you to the entry/change page and you will lose anything you're currently working on at the PatternWizard.
Once you've entered Private Label information, you'll see it in the drow-down boxes in the Private Label area the next time you go to the freePatternWizard page.
For those who haven't found it, there's also a link to get to the Private Label entry/change page by using the top pull-down menu. Use the Patterns / Premier Features / Pdf Private Label Entry menu selection.
As always, if you have any questions about a Premier feature, ask it here.
I've been winding up debugging a new free feature. I'm trying my best to prevent introducing any new bugs but this new feature actually affects several programs. We still have lots of free stuff coming and many Premier features too.
There'll be lots of additions, changes, and fun stuff coming in 2016!
Monica,
I'm not left-handed, but I totally get what you're saying! I taught a crochet class and one of the women turned out to be left handed. I offered to stand in front of a mirror, but she said she was fine with the class just as she was...I would have been completely confused!
I've taught knitting, though I don't recall anyone saying they were left handed, so maybe I was just lucky that if there was a left handed person in the class, they figured it out on their own.
I did try to learn left handed crochet, but it was soooo difficult trying to figure out how to hold the hook and yarn. Finally had to stop, because nothing was getting accomplished. Now I tell left handed potential crocheters they're welcome to watch a mirror, and if not, they'll need to find a left handed teacher, unless they can figure it out on their own, like the one woman did. And she did pretty well, so that was really cool!

RedLady (LOVE your name!),
Welcome!
My
apologies...I'm not sure what you're asking...are you saying you
have a PDF with a perler bead pattern and you want to use the grid
to turn it into a crochet pattern?
I'm sorry
to say the freePatternWizard will only work with images, not with a
premade grid. I'm not sure if it could be accomplished, since the
program doesn't understand how to "read" a grid. It would confuse
any gridlines for pattern elements and would really mess up the
image you're trying to create.
Is there some
other way to get an actual image of what you're trying to create?
For example, let's say it's a picture of a rose. Could you instead
find an image of a rose that looks similar to what the perler bead
pattern looks like?
Thanks so much for your response! (and this site!!)
Thank you! I'm new to this and I'm really
excited to try your program. I've been playing with it but I think
the photo I picked has way too much detail. It's going to
be a real challenge - but I already promised my husband I'd make an
afghan for him using this picture so now I've got to do
it!
I do love going to my LYS but the
closest one is over an hour away so I don't get down there as often
as I'd like. If I know what I want, honestly it's faster
and easier to order it and have it delivered.
Thanks for the excellent customer service!
It's so nice to deal with a company who really cares!!
