New!  The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

New!  We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn!  If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you.  This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic!  (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)

New!  The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!

Welcome to Stitchboard!  Feel free to sit and stay awhile.  Check out our new Premier features.  In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request!  We have many more features planned, too!  Laughing

Hi Melanie, sorry it has taken me so long getting back here. Kinda' forgot to stop by, shame on me. I will post a few pics of the beaded vulture tapestry. Since I was on last I finished the vulture part and now working on the background hoping to get it finished some time this summer. It goes slow pickinv up 310 beads, then sewing them down. Will be glad when it is,finished so I can move on to new beading adventures.

Haven't tried the pattern creator yet. Will have to find time to do that. At work right now, will get the pics on here this cycle off work. Smiley

Hi, Abbybilly12.

What device are you using?  iPhones open the pdf charts fine and they can be saved in your iBooks Library.  Are you using ios or Android?

Terry

Line,

True...'08 did affect the whole world.  I guess for me it's hard to grasp such far-reaching consequences, even though I know it really is what happened.  Cry  I hate that others had to suffer, too.  Cry

True, we can do things our way here.  Kiss  Though some of what we can do is limited, because of changes the previous people made.

We heard there was a beautiful bay window in the back of the house, part of the living room, but the previous people tore it out and put in a bathroom.  Then they turned another part of the living room into a bedroom.  What's left is a fairly small area behind the front door, which is too small for a living room.  So the previously large dining room has now become a smaller living room, and our kitchen has become an eat-in kitchen...even though it's technically much too small and the table we originally brought over is way too big.

We'd discussed moving the dining area to that smaller area by the front door...but there's a bathroom behind it.  Yuck.  Frown

So we kind of have limits based on what was done previously.  Which is one of the things that turned off a former neighbor of ours, that the house had been changed around so much previously.  I don't know where else we could set aside space for a dining room that wouldn't be by a bathroom or in the way.  It's not that we don't appreciate the second bathroom, because we do, but it was also done incorrectly, and now the bay window is gone.  Plus, it faces a garage, which wasn't originally there, so the bay window if it were still there would be pretty useless.  Just too much stuff has been done to this place.  It's very sad.

Awww, thank you.  Kiss  We would help you guys, too, if we lived closer.  Kiss

How cool that your neighborhood is so beautiful and you have access to so much great stuff!  Kiss  It's wonderful to have great neighbors...and access to the harbor...oh, be still my heart!  Wink  Except for the river here, we're pretty landlocked, so you'll have to share a lot about your area, where I can live vicariously through you!  Kiss

We did mostly luck out on good neighbors...though the one house is a rental and we just don't know who we're going to get.  Another house, too, actually.  One set of very nice neighbors are selling Cry, another set of neigbors are never there...only two sets of neighbors are there with any permanence.  And hopefully they'll stay, rather than moving out like the otherse have!  Also hoping the neighbors who are selling will find someone good to buy the house, someone who will live there and not rent it out.

Although we do like that we're within walking distance of the local downtown.  Kiss  That makes up for a bit...the library is probably less than a half dozen blocks away.  LOL, I walked there one day...on one of the hottest days, naturally!

Hi to all! The name's J Linz and I guess you can say that I'm in between beginner and intermediate as far as crocheting goes! I completely forgot that I created a profile back in June; my interests are starting to overlap each other as far as projects.

I started crocheting about ten years ago but never took the time to hone the skill down until six months ago. I've completed about four or five small projects that I'm proud of but it made me realize that I have a lot of room to grow!

I tracked this site down due to my hunt for specific patterns; I wasn't a fan of paying someone a ridiculous price for a pattern (I have no problem paying someone for their work, though). I think I've created two patterns so far, one definite; once I start working on them, I will gladly share them!

I posted two FREE knitting patterns for Kindle for today...grab them before they're gone!  (Note: you do not need to have an actual Kindle.  If you have a smartphone, you can download a Kindle reader app for FREE...if all you have is a PC, you can download to your PC...and I believe there may also be a way now of completely bypassing any kind of reader app to read directly online - though please don't quote me on that, as I'm not sure.  I find the PC reader to be quite decent for pattern content...since I don't own a Kindle, I can't say how well it works...but I would think a smaller screen would make patterns kind of difficult to read.)
