New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

hello, my name is dobugstitches (feel free to follow me on instagram! ) dobug is a childhood nickname given to me by my parents because of my big brown eyes. I am 7 months into cross stitching and it all started when I became a new mommy needed a hobby during my maternith leave. Now I cross stitch during my office job. I am currently working on a Harry Potter character series and hope you come check it out on my insta. NIce to meet you all!
Sorry! I made some major server upgrades last night and this caused the program to stop handling some image types.
I tested a lot of the operation after the upgrades and didn't see any problems but there were, indeed, issues.
I just corrected this and hopefully everything is back to normal.
The server upgrades are in preparation for lots of program updates in 2019!
Thanks for your patience.
Terry
Hi Shelly,
Welcome, will love to see your work! Acupuncture, what an interesting profession. I have read many great things about it. Sorry to hear about your sweet Kitty Riley. I used to have cats, my last one was actually my son's I got him when he was 11. She lived to be 18 1/2 yrs old and was the best cat ever. I have dogs now mainly, standard poodles, my favorite.
I work with beads, mainly Delica 11/0 seed beads in peyote and loom stitch. Also larger beads such as Super Duos sometimes. LOL I am not the world's best crocheter or knitter either.
Would love to see your wire work. That is one medium I have not tried, but do have 3 books on it when I considered trying it once.
Melanie,
You're absolutely right. When you stop to thing about how to do something you've always just done automatically, it's very strange that you can't figure it out ... it's like it's something new or foreign that you've never seen or done before. Very weird.
I discovered this when I used to fix computers for a living. Whenever I would try to talk someone through a process so they could do it themselves, I had to sit down and figure out exactly what I was doing because I had gotten to the point of doing it automatically w/o thinking about what I was doing.
We humans are strange creatures sometimes. LOL
Line,
Oooh, thank you! I can generally translate, but there are often phrases that are completley confusing, LOL! This one looks well worth the effort, for sure. Thank you for bringing it to my attention!
