New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Do you have a ford emblem bead pattern?
Greetings!!
I am from London, Ontario and share my home with 3 cats, 1 dog and a very understanding fiance. He could even be considered an enabler as he usually offers to go yarn shopping with me. (At least I don't have to sneak purchases in!)
I knit and crochet and for the past couple of years have worked towards giving gifts that are primarly hand-made. I have been working on this Christmas' presents since January and am full steam ahead... and like every other year, am pretty convinced that my gifts won't totally suck. bwahahahaha.
I decided to try out the site because I figured, "it's been around for forever so it has to be good"
I look forward to getting to know people, seeing and sharing our works!
Since we updated the numbering for Crochet and Knitting, we needed to allow the reversal of odd and even row counts for those who want it.
There's now a checkbox in section 7:
Unchecked, Crochet and Knitting charts will be shown with odd numbers on the right and even numbers on the left. Checked, the odd numbers will be on the left and even on the right.
Note that this is a temporary setting. To permanently set it to left handed, use the new setting in the Settings tab on the right:
The new option can be found in the "General Settings" area near the lower right corner of this Settings box:
Check the box next to "I am left-handed" and click the "Save Settings" button to permanently set this. From then on (unless you change it again in the Settings box), every time you run the program, the "I am Left-handed" box will automatically be checked and the numbering will be as described above.
If you find any issues or if have suggestions relating to this option let me know!
Terry
Karen,
I'm not the tech expert here, but it just sounds to me that you no longer have an application on your device that will read a PDF. Are you on a smartphone or tablet, perhaps? If this is a computer, it may be that your PDF file setting is no longer associated properly with a PDF reading application.
I would say the best test of this is if you try another PDF on the same device. Do you get the same message with that different PDF?

Glad to hear that more experienced people do the same
Read a lot of opinions on hoop/no hoop, but in the end decided to
go with what sounds reasonable to me.
By the
way, it is really nice that you comment and give advice on all
these posts Melanie. It makes it much more fun to post these
updates, knowing I wont just be yelling into the void.
Another week has gone by, so here is where I am at
now:
A fair bit extra and I have put in
some serious hours too. I really wanted to get to the lady herself
and also to have a break from the gray tones. Which is why I have
sort of worked diagonally upwards.
I was
quite surprised that the main colour in the cape is 154 - Grape
(heheh, that rhymed). Its more purple than red. But next to the
other main colours in the cape it looks nice, so I am reserving
judgement until I have a bigger patch done.
The work continues and hopefully I will have another
update in a week.
