hmm, my favorite is herringbone, but i enjoy most of them. if i can't convert a RAW or netting pattern so it's geared for a lefty, i won't bother with it. those are the two main stitches i have a problem with. i really enjoy making non-jewelry items like beaded boxes, beaded beads and such, i just don't seem to have a lot of spare time to do much of it. LOL
i used to sew up a storm, making my own clothes and for my kids when they were young. i haven't sewn in a long time, but have lately felt a desire to pick it back up. i also love to crochet, bead crochet, knit, embroider, cross stitch and am anxious to encorporate beading to all of them! again, it comes down to a time thing, and right now that's at a premium.
i really don't have a lot of non-stitching interests outside of family and our cats, of course. lol
i abhor cooking, yet am addicted to collecting cook books and recipes. LOL go figure. i enjoy the outdoors and bird watching, so we have a 'feeder' tree in the back where we can sit by the patio and watch the birds come and go. it's very relaxing after staring at and working on bead patterns all day. LOL
