New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

Dlerickson,
I just tested the choose my own colors feature for beading and it worked fine for me. Can you please list the steps you're taking? It could be that I didn't try exactly the same settings you did. If I still can't duplicate the problem, we may have to send you an email address so you can send us your image; then we can see if we can duplicate the problem you're having.
Hi, I uploaded a square photo of my dog as I want to make a square cushion. The pattern is 100 stitches wide and 134 rows, but this is for crochet. Will it crochet as a square it seems to me to be a rectangle? Please can anyone help, I'm a newbie and want to make this for Christmas for the much beloved, thanks
Welcome!
My best advice is to start small...I know, small graphs aren't as appealing, but it's good practice to start small and to see what graph crochet is like before embarking on a huge project that may end up daunting. I know that I don't like to start small, but I always regret it when I don't, like when I tried bead crochet and had so much trouble with the extra step of holding the beads, I almost gave up! But that's when I took a step back and started small...LOL, or big, in this case , with a very small, simple pattern and pony beads. It worked!
Happy belated birthday Cal!
Neave, now admit it...he's still your baby!
Silvertiger,
Super! Looking forward to seeing what you accomplish.
