New! Caron One Pound, Caron Simply Soft and Herrschners 2-Ply Afghan palettes - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! The Herrschner's Worsted Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
New! We've just added the palette for Deborah Norville Everyday Yarn! If you knit and/or crochet, this is for you. This is a beautiful yarn with a nice feel to it, a good alternative in worsted weight acrylic! (Thank you again to BetwixtTheStitch!)
New! The Red Heart Super Saver Palette - thank you to BetwixtTheStitch!
Welcome to Stitchboard! Feel free to sit and stay awhile. Check out our new Premier features. In addition to the ability to create larger patterns (up to 500 stitches wide), illusion knitting and private labeling (no more worries about editing those pesky and messy PDFs), we've just introduced Filet Crochet, our most popular request! We have many more features planned, too!

My name is Christie I'm looking to knit my grandson a blanket with a deer head in it. He will be born in July so wanted to get started thanks
You've done such a fantastic job with all of those!
C2C is such a fun technique and lends itself to so many things, though it takes an artist to really make it outstanding...which you've done!
Thanks for posting this great eye candy!
I uploaded my pic. Picked the number of colors and size. How can I estimate how much yarn to buy? from stitches used?
TIA
Lynn,
I'm still trying to reach the correct person at Lion Brand (our original contact left the company, saying we'd be contacted by the new person for that department, who hasn't reached out to us yet). I'm hoping to at least find out if a new person has taken over the job, and if not, when someone will.
My guess is this is also why we've been unaware of the discontinued status of some of their colors, as they may not have anyone yet to take on the job full time.
Meanwhile, if you look at the Wool Ease line on their website, are the colors there sufficient to help you find like colors or to at least help you find something by eye that works instead to substitute for the other two discontinued colors? If you haven't seen it, this is the page listing Wool Ease colors, where all of them are showing:
http://www.lionbrand.com/cgi-bin/yarnInfo.cgi?start=0&yarnPage=1419766&pageLength=100
Even though you've emailed Lion Brand, I'm still working on the issue of our contact, because we really should be aware of these issues before you go to use any discontinued color! I'm not entirely sure what's going on, but I hope to know early on next week.
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention!

I wonder if someone could help. I live in the uk and have never used a site like this before. Someone kindly downloaded a photograph of myself and my sister so I could crochet a blanket. They have sent me the pattern which gives me the colours I need but I'm not sure what brand they are. I assuming it could be an american brand so I may have to find an equivalent.
The colours on the chart are
2 - Black
326 - Beaver Brown - Ulight dark
412 - Brown grey - medium
415 - Beige grey - very dark
420 - Pewter grey
422 - Beaver grey - dark
429 - Ash grey - very light
430 - Pewter grey - very dark.
Could someone tell which brand these are please.
regards
Sarah
