I just joined too.  I have been knitting since I was in the 5th grade. Our teacher taught us how using pencils.  I have changed to needles though.lol I also crochet, tat, and have dabbled in a few other things. I belong to a group that makes items  and we donte them to  local schoools, the VA hospital, a womans shelter, and a organization called Tiny Purpose. They  make little memory boxes  for  parents that have lost a newborn preemie. We make little blankets for them to put in the boxes. besides that I mostly  make afghans  , some for gifts and some by request. I did post an album of some of them. Its called Cincerely Yours. 
I cant wait to meet some of you and see your work.
