I just started using this site but I already love it very much. How do I go about increasing my pattern sizes. I like to make big afghans the one I am presently working on is 250 by 280.
Thank you

Could you also tell me how to adjust the length so it is rectangular in shape rather than square?

Luvnmommyhood,
You've been upgraded!
Adjusting the length is a bit more difficult...as you can tell, you can only adjust for the number of stitches across, and that's because if you were to adjust it yourself for length, too, your pattern would skew and produce a terrible result. So the way you have to do it is basically by experimenting...add borders to your original image to make it longer, in this case to the top and/or bottom and figure out what works to give you the result you want. Once you get the desired result, that's it!

Thanks so much for the upgrade!
As for the length modification I've seen patterns that have have a measurement of 65x85. When I make a pattern with a 65 width the length was about 70. How would I add just empty blocks to top and bottom tomake it 85? Is it possible?
Thank you so much for your help!

The best way to accomplish what you're attempting to do is to add borders to your original image in a graphics program; this will require a bit of experimenting to ultimately arrive at the size you're intending. At this time the freePatternWizard doesn't have the capability to add borders in the program itself, and while this is a feature it likely will have at a later date, rather than waiting, adding borders on the top and/or bottom before sending your image through the freePatternWizard is the most optimal way to accomplish this.

I'm trying to make a Browning doe & buck symbol afghan for my 19yr old daughter who is in the army and stationed in CO. She is supposed to deploy the day before CHristmas. She wants the afghan big enough to fit her bed and I was wondering if I can get the upgrade so that I can try to get this made for her before she deploys. Thanks in advanced. <3
