I do not like joining little pieces at all Foot in Mouth! Stitching or crocheting squares together I can do well, I just don't like it.
This is made with tr and bptr shells, and worked in rounds. The bptr round gives it the ridges. This one is worked in two shades of turquoise and two shades of blue, with the cafe latte as a neutral.
I have flourescent lighting in my workroom and there is a window near it, I was afraid the lighting made the pale blue and turquoise look washed out.
Photographing jewelry is much harder, so I may have just been overthinking it.

Thank you, I really enjoyed making jewelry and may post other pics from time to time.
Weaving wire is much easier than trying to crochet it, with some coaxing, it goes where you want it most of the time.

I'm so with you...I don't like joining little pieces together, either.  Tongue Out  It's the part I avoid the most!  I'd rather make things in one piece or join a new thread or use crochet to join or something...anything but sewing things together!

I love the way the BPTRs stand out.  Smile  I also like the colors!

Oh, no, I don't think the pale blue and turquoise look washed out at all!

You're so right about photographing jewelry.  I always have a hard time with that.  For some reason, my camera doesn't seem to like anything small.  Frown  I used to use a white drape that would nicely show colors, but now the camera washes out the colors.  A darker background usually works better, but even then, there's trouble.

I'd love to see more pics of your jewelry!  Do you plan to keep making more?

I've had about as much luck weaving wire as I have crocheting it.  Tongue Out  Working with wire and trying to make French technique beaded flowers was an exercise in frustration and ultimate futility.  That wire simply wouldn't cooperate.  I even went to a thinner wire, which was more malleable...but it also broke frequently.  Frown  I finally gave up.  I'd rather beadweave flowers than work with wire!

The trick I found for jewelry was to make a white, 3 sided box out of foamboard which I then lined with glossy printer paper. This reflected the overhead light very well. Then I used a zoom. My pics turned out much better. Jewelry is one of the hardest things to get good pics of, from what I understand. Makes me appreciate others photos even more.

Ooh, thanks for the info!  I'll have to get some foam board and try that, because often colors in the background make items look "off," but the white drape makes the camera wash out whatever I'm photographing.  Frown

Jewelry is extremely difficult to photograph.  It gives me fits every time!
