New from the needles

I'm posting a picture in the albums of my latest batch of hats.  There are also some baby carrier sized blankets all made on the Brother/KnitKing 260 machine.  Pictures to follow. ;-)

Charlene,

Terrific!  I've been waiting to see some more of your excellent work!  Smiley  Blog entry, too, perhaps?  I love your blog and have greatly missed it lately.

Be happy to.  It seems we all got distracted at the once! ;-)

Charlene,

I've missed your blog, too. I wondered if the lack of activity here was due to the nicer weather most of us have been having. Not snowed in like we were earlier this year.  And then, just this past weekend, parts of the midwest got blasted again!

The weather here has been here one day and gone the next.  Nope, in my case I've just been distracted by outside life.  Fortunately, things have settled down a bit and I'll be able to pay more attention to Stitchboard and my knitting life.

We were in the blast zone this past weekend.  We live outside of town and the house sits 1/4 mile back off the road.  The winter took several bites out of the "driveway" and we had pot holes nearly to China.  Fortuitously, that was taken care of the day before the storm hit.

I hope everyone is well.

Marilyn,

How did you fare with the snow last weekend?  We got some, but it melted right away.

Charlene,

Glad you got the potholes taken care of before the storm made them worse!  It sounds like this winter has been particularly bad for you guys.  I have some dear friends in NY, who have also been severely blasted by the weather, snowed in for days at a time, power lines down, the works.  Sad

We didn't get any snow at all, just some rain. The system that brought the snow swirled around in such a way that any snow went to the south.  When I was watching the weather bit on the news, I think there was a pink patch on the map down in Tennessee and maybe another in the mountains of eastern Kentucky.

Marilyn,

Glad to hear you didn't get slammed!  Smiley

Though I don't like snow, I was glad we got only a little bit of it, and not enough to stick.  I suppose it's also a matter of perspective...a few inches of snow earlier on in the season can be unbearable...at the end it's got limited longevity, so when it's not a tremendous amount, it doesn't seem so bad!
