Hi, I just joined.  Interested in the pattern maker for cross stitch.  Still playing with it trying to figure it out.

Thank you!  I've recently gotten back into stitching after several years away from it and this is my current project.  My husband was a marine and he wanted me to make this for him.

Veronica,
That looks absolutely amazing! Kiss
It will surely be a greatly treasured gift. Kiss
That's quite a bit of stitching, too. How long has that taken you thus far? Cross stitch takes a long time for the tiniest areas, but soooo well worth the results. Are you planning on framing it when it's done?
Thank you for sharing and if you wouldn't mind, it would be lovely to follow your progress! Kiss

I don't remember exactly, but I started it at the start of football season, I try to work on it a few hours every day.  I'm hoping to have it done by xmas and I will get it framed.  Thank you for the kind words!

Veronica,
You're so welcome! Kiss
You're not just a good stitcher - you're a fast stitcher, too, apparently! Kiss I'm pokey slow. Laughing
I hope you'll have it done by Xmas! Kiss Do you have a local framer that knows how to frame cross stitch? That's something that has been hard to find wherever I've lived. Plenty of framers, but not ones who know how to frame cross stitch. Frown
Please feel free to keep sharing pictures of your progress! Kiss

I'm motivated on this one to finish it.  My husband had a stroke last year and it makes you realize how precious time is.  I'll probably just take it to Michaels to have it framed.  We used to have a really good framing shop in town, but it closed a couple of years ago.  So here's an updated picture...the first picture was taken about two weeks ago.  I'll post it again after I get it finished.

Veronica,
That's such outstanding work and I'm very sorry to hear your husband had a stroke. Cry Time and life are absolutely precious. Cry
You've done a beautiful job and wow, so fast! Kiss
If anyone should know how to frame cross stitch, I'd think Michaels would. They likely get a LOT of demand for things like that. And sorry the local framers went out of business. A professional framer is like gold!
Keep up the great work and thank you so much for the update! Kiss

I finished it!  Had some problems with the N and the C.  Had to undo them both and redo and still not happy with the C, but it's as good as it's going to get.  I vow to never do words again lol.  Have to iron it a little and then going to Michaels today to get it framed.  Thanks for the support!
