Work in progress

It's going pretty slow but it's till coming together. I'm crocheting this from a graph pattern that I made from this site.  Thank you so much for the use of the program!

Wow, that's AMAZING...it looks like a photograph! Kiss It actually looks like you took part of a photograph and took a picture of it. Kiss I'd call this ART, not crochet! Kiss

Thanks so much for sharing! Kiss

Where did it go?  I don't even see the pic of it now.  But yes Melanie it actually is crochet and not a pic of a photo.  Maybe I should take another pic of it and include the hook and mass of threads I'm using.

Thank you Sherry.  I'll admit it's quite the challenge but I'm committed to finishing it now.

Sorry, but you did ask.......
February 14, 2018 at 9:05:38 AM  (in response to Stitchboard Admin message #6)

Here is the pic once again............ as well as the hook and the back side.  No... it's NOT pretty on the back side but you did ask!  LOL  I'm working with 60 different colors.  The only way I can keep them straight is to tab them on the end with a little peice of paper and the marking that signifies the color they are.  What makes it most difficult is that there will be ONE stitch of one color immediately followed by ONE stitch of another etc. at different places in the graph.  And yes, my threads do tangle, so every so many rows, I have to stop and do a detangle.

First the pic that was lost.

The hook.......

And the finally the back side.......

I hope this will prove that I didn't take a pic of a photo and say that I was crocheting it.  LOL

Piddy,

Thanks for reposting! Kiss

That's so amazing! I'd never be able to do that...you have my utmost admiration! Kiss

BTW, the reason the original photo went away was because it was an embedded image from Facebook. Facebook only allows temporary links, so eventually it went away because the link is no longer the same, even if the picture is still up.

If you wouldn't mind, we'd really appreciate it if you'd go back in and edit your original message, then add it as a photo there, too, the same way you did in this newer post. Smile

Amazing work! Kiss

Will do on the adding the pic and thank you for the compliment.  It has not been breezy easy but I think the biggest challenge is simply to develope a technique.  I've never done something quite like this before so it has been a learn as I go project.

And a bit more progress has been made.  It does go slowly because sometimes I simply don't feel like working on it, and also because it's so involved.
