Hello to all!!

Hi everyone!!  My name is Amanda.  I have been crocheting for almost 20 years!  Wow I can't believe how much I both hate and love that number!  I love it because I can't believe I have stuck with something for that long and I hate it because it makes me feel old even though I haven't even hit the natural age of 40. My mother taught me to crochet before I had graduated high school.  I made my first graphgan when I was 20 and there's been no looking back!!!  i love that I found this particular community.  I do have at least one question that I have scoured the boards looking for a possible answer to but either I am the only one with the issue or maybe people don't realize its off a bit.  When I get to the step of choosing a color pallette it doesn't show them all to me.  I am trying to make a graph of 2 flamings facing each other.  I want to use the caron simply soft color pallette and I want to choose my colors.  I can't choose all that are available because for some reason the pallette doesn't fit completely in the box its in.  Its like all the colots are there but I can't see them all because they have floated beyond the border as though the images didn't wrap or auto enter to the next line.  Am I making any sense whatsoever?  TIA

Amanda,

Welcome! Smile

How cool that you've been crocheting so long! I understand about feeling old, LOL, but no worries, crochet is ageless and the fact that you've been crocheting so long just means you started young enough to still be young!

I'm not sure what problem you're experiencing with the palette, but it doesn't sound like a crochet issue, so I've asked Terry from Support to respond.

Hi, Amanda!

When you say you don't see all the palettes, are you saying in section #5a you do not see all the palette options (currently there are 11 palettes for crochet and knitting)?

Or do you mean if you click on "I will choose my colors" in section 5b, you only see a partial palette of colors and some are cut off?

To help me, please also let me know what kind of device you're using to access the program (i.e. laptop, dekstop, iPhone, tablet, etc.)

Also, if you don't mind, could you please take this link that will send me information about your browser and operating system versions.  If you don't want to do this, it's ok.  We respect everyone's privacy.

Thanks for the information.

Terry

Hi Melanie and Terry,

Thanks for such a quick response!!  Terry I am on a laptop with Windows 10.  My problem was that I was only seeing a partial palette of colors in 5b after checking the option to choose my own colors.   I meant to come back in here and tell yall that I managed to dix the issue just shortly after posting the original message.  I had just thought it was a program error and not something in my own settings which is what it turned out to be. I had my web pages set to zoom in or something.  anyway I changed something from 100% to 50% in my internet settings and suddenly everything on the page was a bit smaller and everything fit in the box.  Can you tell I don't know a ton about computers? lol  I know just about enough to get myself out of the little mess ups I find myself in.  Like this one!! lol

Melanie,

You are right crochet is ageless!!  and with all of these types of crafts becoming popular again I am thankful that I know what I do because I can teach my daughter along with numerous nieces and nephews and maybe if I'm lucky granchildren somewhere in the future.

Blessings to all,
Amanda

Amanda,

So glad your problem is resolved!

It's wonderful to hand crafts down to the next generation! I believe it's our own way of storytelling. We're telling the story of who we are by what we create, and even better, the next generation picks it up and tells the story in their own way. This way, we all are involved in the same story, with our own variations. Smile LOL, that's my theory, anyway!

It's also a nice bond to sit with someone and teach them something that will enrich their lives and lead them to create beautiful things! Smile
