What stitch is the pattern wizard designed for?

I am over 30 rows into a blanket, and haven't yet started on the pattern. My question is this: Is the "standard" stich a single or double crochet stitch? I am hoping it is a single crochet as that is what I have been doing. Please let me know. (American single crochet)

Iconstable,
Welcome!
You're correct; the "standard" stitch is single crochet. The reason we call it that is because it's called a double crochet in the UK (isn't that confusing? What we call a double crochet here is a treble crochet in the UK). This way, with one generic term we cover both American and UK terms at the same time. BTW, thanks for clarifying American single crochet, so I would know exactly what you're talking about!
So you're doing perfectly fine...just keep on with the single crochet and that's exactly what you should be doing!

I'm a beading, knitting and crochet addict. If that means I'm admitting I have a problem, then I admit to nothing. Please refrain from helping me.
