Hello, My name is Robin. I've been crocheting since I was 7 years old. I love to crochet. I am new to this community and I do have some questions to ask about making some charts from images that I have in my computer.
First I would like to know what type of images are allowed? What I mean is are wallpapers that you can download for free or cartoon images you can find on google allowed to be turned into crochet charts? Do I need to have permission from where they come from? For instance I have wallpapers of wolves that I downloaded for free can they be used?
TIA for any information on this matter.

Welcome!

Goodness, you've been crocheting since such an early age...wonderful! LOL, I don't think I had the motor skills at that point to hold a crochet hook, so that makes it even better how you were able to start so young!

). The best I can do is give you a generic answer, which is that our understanding is copyrighted material does need permission in order to be able to use it.

Yes it does. Thank you. See I wanted to make a paw patrol blanket for my grandson. That was the reason why I was asking. If it isn't being sold would it be allowed?

Generally speaking, if it's for personal use only, you can use it. You cannot profit from it or distribute in any way.

As long as it's copyrighted material, our understanding is you'd need permission to post it for others' use, even if it was for free.

Robin,

We currently have c2c in development, so that's why you don't see such an option in the menu. Once it's ready, it will likely be a Premier feature. If you'd be interested in testing this feature, please let me know.
