Neave,
Fantastic!
I look forward to it, hopefully sooner than later. I was originally planning on having classes some time ago, but then we got into the middle of a move, and after that we never were set up again for the classes. Can't wait to get back to it!
I can tell you'll be a good crocheter after seeing your beautiful cakes.

Neave,
Great...I have a feeling you'll be a good student, too!
Wow, so your parents owned a cafe? I guess that would be a good way to learn to cook.
So where did your cake decorating genius come from?
I don't blame you for stopping the customer orders. I imagine it's extremely stressful. Making a certain kind of cake, providing it on time for an event...not easy! And I'm guessing sometimes customers would nag you about this and that.

very stressful and very demanding customers and not worth all the shit and hassle especially now that i only have half of my lungs and dad's mom taught me from a very early age how to design and bake beautiful custom made cakes

Neave,
I'm not surprised...it's soooooooo hard to work with customers...they want a gazillion different things, change their minds about every hour...blurgh!
Better to make cakes for you and your own now.
LOL, though family can be demanding, as well!
Wow, your grandmother taught you all of that?
Well, apparently she handed the gift down to you...lovely!
Nobody in my family would know what to do to decorate a cake. When I was a kid, I checked a cake book out of the library and my friend came over to help make it. I had no idea what I was doing. It turned out okay, but by the time we got around to eating it, it had sat out too long and was on the stale side.
Soooooo disappointing!

Neave,
It's so sweet that it's a generational thing, too...keeping that art alive!
It's sad when art doesn't get handed down to younger generations. What a wonderful gift for your nana to have handed to you!

Neave,
That's so sad!
I'm sorry you didn't have a lot of time with him.
It's so beautiful that you're teaching your nieces and nephews about pastries!
It will always give them a marketable skill where they can make money if need be.
